Surfboard Fin vs. Head

After some serious offline time and lots of work I decided to take a break Friday evening and go for a surf up in Palm Beach. The baitfish were everywhere with mackerel, tarpon, and sharks all blasting out of the water feeding on the monster pods of migrating bait. Surf was real fun, chest high clean swell with a bunch of people out along with a picturesque setting sun. It wasn't the sharks that shortened my surf session (like the one that ended our Thursday lunchtime one) but a surfboard fin to the head... 9 staples and 5 stitches later I'm healing up.

Deflecto Please!

We're hoping for another deflecto-action to go on with Ike here in the next few days. This one looks menacing, enough to worry a little bit...

Let's hope it veers out to sea and spares our friends and families in Wilmington, Wrightsville, and OBX. Good luck, and by the way, the surf should be fun right now!

Chrome - The Google Browser

I'll be the first to admit... I drink Google Juice.

I was very pleased with the Beta release of Chrome as I installed it today. Very clean and sleek with the search toolbar embedded in the address bar. Check it out!

Remote Caravan Door

I came across this video on my computer today as thought it would be worthy of YouTube. I believe this video was shot in the parking lot of Dolphin Stadium in 2005 after a Ravens-Dolphins game. For my friends who were present, I'm sure you remember this well :)

Surfed Spots

This mashup was located at the bottom of the blog and taking up too much real estate. Today it's a post, tomorrow it'll be an archive. I intend on adding many more locations to the map as I travel, surf and enjoy life with travel buddies.

48-Foot Sea Ray vs. 2 Excavators

OUCH!

Well not to give away the obvious, but the excavators won. Check out these popular shots taken in Harbor Island, Bahamas, of a 48-foot Sea Ray that had to be 'removed/not salvaged' after it was beached in rough seas. Warning to boat owners: This could make you sick.

Tropical Storm Gustav, Already?

Oh man. This is too soon for another one. Let's bet on the track to take this one into the Gulf, and keep our fingers crossed.

He's Just That Good...

This one I had to post. What a perfect Tiger Woods advertisement!

Severe Drought - Still?

I'm wondering if this means we'll be able to wash our cars and water our lawns soon? I guess, at least take down these signs. I'm going to look for more of these, hahaha.

(Thanks to Bill C. for sharing the photo).
