Singer Island Breakwaters

Todd101.,

I just wanted to share some news with you.  I’m on the board for the local Surfrider Foundation Chapter here in PBC.  We are monitoring a large project the County is pushing.  Although you see ‘Surfrider’ attached it’s not just beach and waves related.  Our county tax dollars are being considered on a $30+ million project only for the benefit of a few condo owners….  Check out more info here:

www.surfriderpbc.org and maybe pass this along to those who may not be aware of where their tax dollars are being spent (and those who enjoy the beach – and seeing nesting sea turtles).

Please pass this info around to your contacts who may be interested, thanks.

Talk to you soon,

Todd

DOWN Go the Giants

In just disgust, it's as if football season ended today. Who would have thought the Eagles would have even been in the playoffs? It was the scenario... if this teams loses, that team beats that team, and the temperature is juuuust right, the Eagles will make the playoffs. Well they did. Not only did their star running back rush for only 36 yards, they had consistent players drop balls and a QB who found himself on 3 and 20 numerous times. I guess even a blind squirrel gets a nut every once and a while, and today, that squirrel beat my favorite team. Now we won't mention the shanks pulled off by Mr. Carney, holy cow. We could look at them as a momentum changer. What IF he made his first one? Well, we may never know. He was last seen being shoved out of the teams private jet, somewhere over the Atlantic... swim Johnny swim!

New Toy..ota

So some real major changes today. New truck and new phone. After all of my ranting and raving about the HTC Fuze (or Diamond Touch Pro), I couldn't stand one more missed text or quirky reset. Accompanied to the AT&T store by friend and business partner from Evolution Entertainment , I succombed to the Apple cult, drank the juice, traded in my brand new Fuze and became the 'very proud' owner of an iPhone. Yes, I know those of you Appletons who have loved them from day 1 are saying 'I told you so', but with the new 3G release I really am enjoying it.

In addition, time was up on the ol' 4Runner lease so concluded our second day of test driving the latest Toyota SUVs. To keep it short, the Rav4 was more expensive than our 4Runner, the new 4Runners weren't impressive, just the same as ours from 2005. The FJ Cruiser, a whole other story. It drove solid, was very fun to drive, and the price turned out to be $40 cheaper a month than our 4Runner... wow. So we fell in love with it almost immediately after driving it. We're adding the roof rack system shortly so I'll have something to strap down the longboards on. Very fun to drive, may I mention that again...
