Congratulations Jodi and Kurt. We really had a blast in Wilmington, NC - old stomping grounds, and hopefully one day our home again.
We flew up from FLL and landed in Raleigh, where I was fortunate enough to turn my compact car rental into an intermediate rental and drive off to Wilmington in a Dodge Charger. Being that had decided to stay up all night before we left our trip, I had to stop and grab my first serving of Red Bull. So off we drove, and hours later we arrived in Wilmington and headed for our house we rented in Wrightsville Beach.
For only $150 a day we scored a 3 bedroom house on the intracoastal waterway, and just a short walk away was the beach. The house was sort of "grandma'd out", but it was perfect for the short relaxing trip.
